| 1. General Policies |
| |
- Eligibility
|
- Varsity - All individuals interested in playing summer football who
are ages 19 and under as of May 31st, midnight of the playing year
must register with the London Falcons Varsity team. If a player 16
years of age or younger wishes to register with the Varsity team
they may do so. The coaches of the Varsity and Junior teams will,
with the best interest of the player in mind, decide if such a player
would benefit from playing on the Varsity team.
- Junior Varsity - All
individuals interested in playing summer football who are
ages 16 and under as of May 31st, midnight of the playing year
can register with the London Falcons Junior
Varsity team or the Varsity team. A player maybe asked to play
on the Varsity team if the Junior and Varsity coaching staffs,
the player’s
parents, and the player agrees that this move would benefit and
enhance the players abilities and football experience.
- Pee Wee - All individuals interested in playing summer
football who are ages 14 and under as of May 31st, midnight of
the playing year can register with the London Falcons Pee Wee
team or the Junior Varsity team. A player maybe asked to play
on the Junior Varsity team if the Junior and Pee Wee coaching staffs,
the player’s
parents, and the player agrees that this move would benefit and
enhance the players abilities and football experience.

- Registration/Tryout Fee ($35)
|
Registrants are required to fill out the Registration Form, provide
a photocopy of a birth certificate or driver’s license,
a parent or guardian's signature (if under the age of 18)
and health card information. All players must be registered
prior to any tryout activities. The $35 covers insurance,
provincial and national fees. All registrants will
become temporary members the London Falcons Football Club. A
series of tryout
sessions will be offered. It
is up to each player to attend all sessions on the dates
provided. At the end of the tryout sessions players (all
levels the varsity, junior and pee wee) will be offered
a full season player membership with the London Falcons Football
Club. The
registration/tryout fee is non-refundable.

- Players Membership Fee ($350)
|
- Before a player qualifies for membership and
is able to receive equipment and is allowed to practice, each
must submit:
- $35
tryout fee (for insurance, OVFL and London
Falcons registration)
- Refundable equipment security deposit (see equipment distribution)
- London
Falcons Equipment Form (see equipment
distribution)

- $350
playing fee
- The
fee can be paid by MasterCard, VISA, American Express or
a cheque made payable to the London Falcons Football Club. The
player fee will be due prior to any equipment distribution. The
player fee is non-refundable . The player fee includes;
busing to/from all road games (for players on the road trip
roster), player insurance, and equipment usage fee. In
addition, players will receive; a jersey, game socks, and
a mouth guard.

- Offsetting Players Membership Fee
|
Players
will be able to offset the cost of playing by:
- A request for
Sponsorship sheet will be available to players. This
will help the players obtain sponsorship to offset their
player fee. We
will be preparing a team program for distribution at home
games. A
player can obtain a standard sponsorship (see types of
sponsorships). This sponsorship costs $350. If
a player acquires such a sponsorship, the London Falcons
Football Club will refund $300 of the player’s fee
to that player. Additional
information can be obtained from our web site or London
Falcons Management.
- Players can obtain any
combination of Home Game - $50, Pledge - $100, or Donation
- $150 Sponsorships that add up to $350. These sponsorships
( see types of sponsorships ) must add up to $350. If
a player acquires such sponsorships, the London Falcons Football
Club will refund $300 of the player’s fee to that player.

- No Refunds
|
Due to the time frame and nature of the
league fees, there will be no refunds. Please
make sure you want to play summer football prior to
accepting membership. Once a fee has been collected,
the fee will NOT be refunded.

- Equipment Distribution ($500 security deposit)
|
- The
London Falcons Football Club provides all the necessary football
equipment. Players are responsible for their own football
shoes. An
Equipment Loan Contract must be signed and completed by all
players. The
Equipment Loan Contract must be filled out prior to receiving
equipment. MasterCard, VISA or American Express
Only (no cheques will be accepted) must be used to secure
the equipment.
- The
value of the equipment provided is $500. The equipment supplied
by the London Falcons must be treated with respect.

- Equipment Return
|
- Equipment
Return Date is: First
Monday after the Championship Game (9 am - 3 pm).
- Any
player that is dismissed from the team must return equipment
within five (5) days of dismissal.
- All other players must return
all London Falcons property, equipment and uniforms on the
first Monday after the championship game and no later. When equipment
is returned, at the return date, in good clean condition then the
$500 deposit will be returned at that time. If equipment is
not returned (by the first Monday after the championship game) or
if the equipment is lost or damaged your $500 security deposit will
be processed. If equipment
is returned after the return date and the security deposit has
been deposited then a 10% ($50) surcharge will apply.

| 2. Team Policies |
|
- Player Conduct General
|
- Physical Abuse - Any physical
abuse of staff, management or teammates of the London Falcons
will result in an immediate suspension, with a review as to the
extent of suspension or possible dismissal from the team.
- Equipment
Abuse -Warnings will be issued for first offense followed
by reduced playing privileges.
- Verbal Abuse -Any excessive
use of vulgarity or inappropriate language will be
dealt with through the warning - reduced playing privilege
model.
- Hazing - Any type of activity expected of someone joining
the Falcons (or to maintain full status with the Falcons) that
humiliates, degrades or risks emotional and/or physical harm, regardless
of the person's willingness to participate will NOT be tolerated.
Any such action will result in the immediate suspension
from the team, with a review as to the extent of suspension
or possible dismissal from the team.

- Alcohol/Drugs
|
There will be no tolerance for drugs or
alcohol on this team. Any player under the influence
of drugs or alcohol during a practice or a game will be
immediately suspended. The
situation will be reviewed for possible suspension and/or
termination from the team.

- Theft
|
Any player found with another players belongings,
equipment or uniform without that players consent will be suspended
from the team, with a review as to the extent of suspension or possible
dismissal from the team.

| |
- Appeals/Grievances
|
Any player who feels he has a legitimate
grievance will approach his position coach first, then the
head coach. If
the grievance has not been settled to the player’s satisfaction
then a meeting with London Falcons management will be take
place. Players
are asked to approach the coaches in a respectful manner outside
of game time. Players are asked not to complain to teammates
during games, this distracts others. All suspensions
or dismissals can be appealed. A
committee of three, from London Falcons staff, coaches and/or
management will be set up to hear the players appeal. Only
a unanimous vote by the committee will finalize whether the
suspension or the dismissal will be carried out.

3. Game Policies |
| |
- Equipment
|
Following insurance, league and team rules
all equipment provided must be worn during all games and practices. No
alterations of equipment will take place without the knowledge
of London Falcons staff. No bandanas or sweatbands
are to be worn under helmets. Game pants and Jerseys
must be clean for all games.

- Game Film
|
Although every effort is made to ensure
game film has been taken of each game, it is not guaranteed. Any
player that wants to have a copy of a game can purchase a DVD
for $15 per DVD. Players are asked to let London Falcons
Staff know ahead of time so that DVD's can be prepared. For
$100 a player can have a ten-minute highlight tape created.

- Trainers Tape
|
Players requesting taping outside the mandate
of the trainer must purchase tape rolls at $5 per roll. The
player is responsible for any tape remaining on the role they
purchased. The London Falcons are not responsible for tape
purchased.

- Away Games Transportation
|
Bus pickup for this year will be at Mother
Teresa Catholic High School at 1065 Sunningdale Road East. Each
away game the head coach will provide an away game playing
roster. Only players on the away game playing roster will ride
on the bus. All players are to arrive at the school no later
than 15 minutes prior to bus departure time. Any
players that are late will not start and playing time will
be limited at the discretion of the coaching staff. The
bus will leave on time. Any
player not on the bus will not attend the game. All
players must travel with team on bus to the game. In
some cases, due to numbers other arrangements will be made
by London Falcons staff to get players to a game. Players
may obtain their own way home, from a game, only after confirming
with the Head Coach. Prior to departure the parent or
guardian must verify, with the head coach, that they will be
taking responsibility for the player returning home.

- Home Games
|
All players must arrive at the designated
meeting time (usually 90 minutes prior to game). Players with
unexcused lateness will have playing time limited at the discretion
of the coaching staff. Any players with conflicts must
see the head coach prior to game and make proper arrangements.

- Game
Conduct
|
- Any lack of discipline such as; fighting,
challenging opponents bench, verbal abuse of referees,
verbal abuse of teammates or opponents, challenging or disrespect
of coaching staff, administration or training staff will result
in playing time being limited at the discretion of the coaching
staff. Any
continued lack of discipline will result in suspension or
dismissal from the team.
- Win or lose all players must conduct themselves with respect.
All players must shake hands with opposing team with their
helmets on.

- Playing Time
|
The player membership fee does not guarantee
playing time. The coaching staff puts a great deal of effort
forth to utilize all of our players. Players may be a part of
the game via, offense, defense, kick off, kick return, punt, punt return,
field goal, field goal return and extra point teams. Depending
on the flow of the game some of these teams may see limited action
on the field. If a player has a grievance about playing time
they are to approach the coaching staff as laid out in the grievance/appeals
section. No player is to approach coaches or teammates
during a game.

| 4. Practice Policies |
PRACTICE IS MANDATORY. PLAYERS MUST ATTEND
ALL PRACTICES.
ATTENDANCE WILL BE TAKEN AT EACH PRACTICE.

| |
- Equipment
|
Following insurance, league and team rules
all equipment provided must be worn during all practices. Most
practices will include sprints, drills, new plays, game plans etc. These
activities will be at the coach's discretion. No alterations
of equipment will take place without the knowledge of London Falcons
Staff. No
bandana’s
or sweatbands are to be worn under helmets. Players must not
wear any game jersey during practice. All equipment must be washed
and cleaned prior to games. Any violations of equipment
policy will result in removal from practice

- Lateness
|
All players late for practice will be subject
to penalties set out by the coaching staff. Persistent
lateness will result in a reduction of playing privileges.
|
| |
- Missed Practice
|
- Players must attend all practices to be
considered for a starting position and/or to play in the
following game. All
players that miss practice or have been removed from practice
will have playing time limited at the discretion of the
coaching staff. Players that miss two practices within a given
week will not play in the following game. Any player that consistantly
misses practices in consecutive weeks or once per week
for several weeks will have playing time limited.
- Unexcused Absence - One unexcused absence will result in limited
playing time. Player must advise unit coach of planned
absence. Third
party reporting will not be accepted.
- Excused Absence - Injuries are not an acceptable excused absence. Players
who have been injured are expected at practices to observe
new plays and strategies. Players who must miss practice
must report to position coach prior to practice. Third party reporting
will not be accepted.
- Prolonged absences – Any continued absences will result
in suspension or dismissal from the team.
